Raven was found in Asia (and patented by its discoverer, who has granted us exclusive rights to propagate it in North America), but the species is native to areas of Africa. Though you might not guess by looking at it, Raven ZZ Zamioculcas ‘Dowon’ is in the aroid family (Araceae) and related to trendy plants like monstera, pothos, and philodendron.
