Originally used as a striking background plant for small ferny foliages, the modern trend is to simply place it standing alone by itself, to appreciate its boldly elegant stature. Its small size of just 2 ft. tall by 1 ft.

W fits into even the smallest of homes. Grows larger when planted outdoors about 4 ft. tall by 2 ft.

W, yet this cold sensitive plant should be almost always be grown as an indoor house plant because it is only outdoor winter hardy in the hottest of climates, year round outdoors only in USDA Plant Zones 10-12. Thrives in warm sunny sites, tolerates some shade although the best foliage color is derived from diffused bright light, as too intense sunlight may cause the leaf edges to turn yellow. Adaptable to a wide range of soils and growing conditions.
